  • (08/04/08) Secretary Supervisor.  McDonough is currently seeking an experienced Secretary Supervisor to work in our Sacramento office.  This position will work with the firm's Executive Director and the Sacramento Office Administrator and is responsible for managing 30 plus legal secretaries.  Major responsibilities include monitoring and allocating workload, recruitment, orientation and training of new staff, coaching and conflict resolution, and performance development and evaluation.  The Secretary Supervisor will also work closely with staff in the Document Production, Docketing, and Records departments.  Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience supervising or managing legal secretaries in a large law office setting.  Candidates should also have superior communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with all personnel.  Candidates should have thorough knowledge of legal applications and technology systems and be able to use that knowledge to improve staff productivity and utilization, as well as the ability to implement and enforce established procedures.  The Secretary Supervisor will need to work independently and effectively under pressure, assuring that attorneys have the support they need day to day by addressing present and future staffing needs in a timely manner.  Bachelor degree required.  McDonough offers a rich benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, long-term care, life insurance, and more all paid at 100 percent.
